Had a wonderful family break at Clauchrie Cottage, the house was welcoming, clean and large enough that we werent all under each others feet. We paid extra for the sauna and hot tub and would recommended adding it on to your stay. The hosts were responsive to all questions and were very helpful and friendly leading upto and during our stay. We will definitely look at booking again! Thank you!

Had a great stay, remote enough to have your own space - but close enough to get into local town Plenty of fun activities to do in the house

We had a fantastic stay here. The house was large with big rooms and plenty of communal areas. We made full use of the hot tub and sauna and I recommend that you pay the extra money required to have it available for your stay. It was very remote and a fair walk into Wigtown but was walkable if you're feeling energetic. It was a bit of a one street town although there was a couple of bars and cafes to be fair and the busier Newton Stewart was just 6-7 miles away. We had hoped to get a late afternoon/early evening Sunday dinner which proved difficult as places available either closed or stop serving lunch/dinner at 3:00pm. Overall, I would happily stay here again.

We loved staying here. The house was perfect for accommodating two sets of families and we were really happy with the facilities. Having children's toys available was also great! Hosts were very responsive if needed, and check in was very easy. Location is ideal for beautiful surroundings but close enough to amenities in Wigtown. Would definitely return.

Beautiful house and location. Tricky to find. House was spacious and accommodate everything needed. Fits a larger family like ours easily. A home from home, lovely neighbour and private location. The property manager answered all questions quite quickly and very friendly. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay. All around a wonderful experience and will be back in the future. .
